Myself and my two roommates are looking for 2 good people to take over our home for the summer. We will all be working away from the city from the beginning of May to the end of August. Our basic plan is to keep one bedroom to store all our gear in, and leave the other two for those who take over.
The apartment is the bottom floor of a house at 13th and Windsor (on the bike route), about a ten minute walk to Main St. (west) and Commercial (east), and 5 minutes from the B-Line. It's in a very green, neighbourhood-y area with a general mix of people from all walks of life, and rows of beautiful cherry trees. The living room is massive, and the kitchen is spacious with a lot of counter space. The place was redone about two years ago, and has really nice laminate wood flooring. We have lots of plants, and are looking for someone who can give them the love that we can't, and there is an attached greenhouse that will be filled with all kinds of edible goodies (you'd just have to keep them alive). There is also a sound system that plays in both the living room and kitchen (which can be controlled independently), as well as a fully functional desktop computer that you would be free to use. This connects to wireless internet (but there is also a LAN, if you don't have a card).
The cost of the rooms will be $475/month each, and this includes hot water (gas), hydro, and hi-speed. If you know good, community oriented people who might be interested, please let us know. Thanks for looking!
